Water Balance Policy Advisory, India

PUB Consultants (PUBC), in partnership with the Singapore Water Centre (SWC), provided comprehensive water balance policy advisory services to a major municipal corporation in India.

Drawing on Singapore's five decades of experience in integrated water resource management, PUBC advised the client across four key areas: integrated water resource management, municipal and industrial water demand management, and public-private partnership frameworks.

The advisory covered the full spectrum of water balance levers, from source diversification and non-revenue water reduction to conservation pricing, mandatory water efficiency labelling, and industrial water efficiency regulations.

Singapore's proven approaches were contextualised and adapted to the client's specific urban, industrial, and institutional landscape, delivering an evidence-based policy framework to achieve a sustainable water balance for one of India's fastest-growing coastal cities.
